Come fish the flats of Ascencion Bay Mexico with great opportunities to catch tarpon, bonefish, permit and snook on the fly!

Driving along the Caribbean coastline of Mexico 4 hours south of Cancun, past the rapidly developing coastal playground of the Mayan Riviera, through the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a 650,000 hectare nature reserve of jungle and mangroves brings you to the small village of Punta Allen. For the adventure traveler, there is more than meets the eye. Saltwater Fly fishing!

Tailwater Drifters presents Las Boyas Flyfishing and Eco-tours. These local guides have lived their lives on Ascencion Bay and have the keenest eyes and the finest fishing/hunting skills you will ever encounter. Fishing from the deck of a 23 foot panga on the vast turquoise flats of Ascencion Bay will leave your eyes burning and body vibrating from the intensity of the hunt and capture of these powerful fish. With 2 guides looking after you, your opportunities to catch bonefish, tarpon, snook and permit are maximized. This is the most intense sight fly fishing you will ever experience.

Our new, modest accommodations are steps away from the dock. Each room has 2 queen beds, private bathroom with hot water shower and 24 hour electricity and air conditioning. Full kitchen facilities are available if you want to cook for yourself. Or, if you prefer, there are several local restaurants serving great food at reasonable prices. Internet access is available 1 block away.

For the non-angler, Las Boyas offers Eco- tours in the Sian Ka'an reserve. There is an abundance of wildlife and birds and reptiles to observe, including dolphins, turtles, crocodiles, cranes, spoonbills, flamingos and other species to numerous to mention. Bring your snorkel too for the worlds' second largest barrier reef is close by.
